- Lead the strategic development of the SEN policy and provision across the school
- Maintain oversight of provision for pupils with SEN or disabilities, ensuring quality and consistency
- Manage Annual Reviews and transition/destination planning
- Contribute to whole-school self-evaluation with a focus on SEN provision
- Collaborate with local authority SEN teams, psychologists, social care professionals, and external agencies
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all students in line with statutory guidance and school policies
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience
- National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete within 3 years of appointment, in line with the SEND Code of Practice)
- Experience with self-evaluation, development planning, and leading training/INSET
- Full UK driving licence - realiable commute to Bedford.
