You'll be able to work at the highest level on some of our flagship output including BBC Breakfast, BBC News at One, Sports News, BBC North West Tonight and BBC News. BBC Media Operations is at the heart of delivering incredible content across all our platforms for all audiences. Comprising around nine hundred people, it manages the craft and production operations for the BBC's news, radio, and some sport services across London, Salford, Birmingham with teams across the main UK sites. Our team captures, edits, and produces output 24/7 for TV, radio, and digital platforms. We are experts in our field, with exceptional technical, operational, and production creativity at our core.YOUR KEY REPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACTWe are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Operator into our team to work on our flagship programmes. This may include shifts on BBC Breakfast, BBC News at One, Sports News, regional output and many more.
You will be working to deliver gallery sound on our flagship output as well as being able to multiskill into at least one other specialism. We would like you to take a proactive role across Media Operations and as a Senior Technical Operator we will look to increase your existing skills with training and mentoringYOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL CRITERIA:Extensive experience in a broadcast sound environment working in galleries or sound control rooms.
A background in live and pre recorded output
Familiar with working in a broadcast environment on live programming often in a pressurised situation.
Comfortable working resiliently in a fast-moving creative environment
