Finance Systems Lead – ERP Implementation (Local Government)

- Acting as the primary liaison between the finance function and the ERP project team.
- Leading the capture and validation of finance requirements, ensuring they are accurately reflected in system design.
- Overseeing configuration, testing, and validation of ERP financial modules (SAP experience highly desirable).
- Managing data migration activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Working with the implementation partner to develop and execute test scripts and lead user acceptance testing.
- Delivering training to finance staff and supporting change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption.
- Producing finance reports and dashboards in the new ERP system.
- Allocating work within the finance team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- CCAB, CIMA or equivalent qualified accountant – essential.
- Proven ERP implementation experience – SAP strongly preferred, but other major ERP systems will be considered.
- Local Government finance experience – essential. You must understand council financial processes, reporting requirements, and controls.
- Strong background in data migration, system testing, and UAT.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently across finance, IT, and project teams.

- Rate: £700 per day (Inside IR35)
- Location: North London – 2-3 days per week on-site
