
Principal/ Senior Ecologist

- Lead and manage complex ecological projects, often involving multiple protected species.
- Provide technical expertise on Green Infrastructure and Urban Biodiversity.
- Undertake tender production, client liaison, financial management, and survey programming.
- Conduct unique urban biodiversity projects, such as ecological monitoring of living roofs and green infrastructure strategy production.
- Mentor junior ecologists and undertake technical reviews.
- Support business development and contribute to company strategy.
- Minimum of 4 years' professional experience in ecology consultancy.
- Degree in ecology, biology, environmental science, or a related discipline (MSc desirable).
- MCIEEM accreditation and CEnv or CEcol (desirable).
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach.
- Full UK driver’s licence and access to a car.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Enthusiastic about nature conservation and ecological innovation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to support ecological surveys.
- Hold a European Protected Species Licence for bats and experience with EPSM licence preparation and delivery.
- Knowledge of Green Infrastructure and Urban Biodiversity (desirable).
