Job DescriptionTQR is seeking a field-based engineer for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of automatic entrance systems. Working across a wide range of manufacturers and technologies, delivering high-quality solutions to clients.The Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of automatic and industrial doors across the Midlands area. The role requires a high level of technical competence, the ability to work independently, and strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Salary: OTE of £60,000+ per annum.
  • Standby and call out enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, and maintain automatic and industrial doors in line with relevant industry standards.
  • Diagnose faults and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
  • Work on a variety of manufacturers' products, including both electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Complete all required documentation and reporting using company systems (e.g., iPad).
  • Always maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and work overtime as required.
Person SpecificationEssential:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an automatic door engineer.
  • EN16005 or BS7036 qualification.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • IT literate, with experience using Excel, Outlook, and customer portals.
  • Experience using tablets (e.g., iPad) for job management.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Good communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable:
  • Experience with industrial doors.
  • IPAF licence.
