Job Description:Robert Half Accountancy and Finance is recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a forward-thinking business that has earned its reputation as a market leader in its industry. Based in Leeds, the company prides itself on creating an environment where innovation, collaboration, and professional development thrive.The Role:As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, compliance with regulations, and supporting the business with critical financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Produce and reconcile journal entries and balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis against actual performance
  • Manage tax compliance, including VAT, corporation tax, and other regulatory requirements
  • Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning
Key Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA-qualified or QBE
  • Prior experience in a Financial Accountant role
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
