- Ensure compliance with Electrical Engineering Technical Procedures and relevant external legislation.
- Determine maintenance and inspection requirements for electrical systems.
- Identify, specify, and manage electrical-biased contracts, including contractor management.
- Contribute to the rolling 5-year business plan for electrical systems, including in-year spend and phasing management.
- Plan and lead electrical inspection works during scheduled outages to maintain system integrity, reliability, and compliance.
- Provide specialist electrical support and advice to Engineering and Maintenance teams on both short-term and long-term issues.
- Strong knowledge and experience of HV and LV electrical systems (transmission and distribution).
- Proven experience with HV and LV protection systems.
- Familiarity with DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and influence relationships.
- Flexible and adaptable approach; able to manage changing priorities and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills with high levels of numeracy and literacy.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to personal development.
- Commitment to promoting and integrating within a positive safety culture.
- Willingness to broaden skills into the C&I discipline as required.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering with extensive industrial experience.
- Membership of a professional institution or actively working towards membership/chartership.
