Do you have experience supporting mental health needs, particularly in an educational or SEND setting? If so, we’d love to hear from you.About the Role:We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and proactive Mental Health Support Worker to join our dedicated team working within SEND schools. You will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 and small group emotional and mental health support to students.Work alongside teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement tailored strategies.Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour.Assist in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).Support the delivery of social and emotional learning activities and interventions.Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.What We’re Looking For:Experience working with children or young people with SEND and/or mental health needs.A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to challenging behaviour.Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child development.Ability to work flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Relevant qualifications in mental health, youth work, counselling, or education are highly desirable.We Offer:A rewarding role where you can truly make a difference.Ongoing training and CPD opportunities.
