- Learn how to review logs and investigate possible security incidents
- Learn how to patch and maintain applications, infrastructure systems as well as network equipment
- Learn how to design and operate DaTS systems safely in order to avoid potential Cyber related issues
- On a day-to-day basis, be involved in the review and configuration of system logs, network logs, vulnerability notices and threat intelligence provide by external organisations, securing devices and networks, mobile data management and desktop configuration security best practices
- Attend all training and development activities as required, and complete all necessary studies and qualifications to achieve the Diploma Digital Technology: Cyber Security SCQF Level 8
- National 4 Maths and English or equivalent
- Confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a drive to success in DaTS
- Proactive attitude to problem solving and shows enthusiasm for learning new skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- A good team player and can also add value working independently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Undertakes work with honesty and integrity
- Well organised and methodical, operating with pace, enthusiasm and creativity
- National 5 Maths and English or equivalent
- A clear desire for a career in DaTS
- A knowledge of DaTS networks and peripherals
- Driving licence / willingness to travel across Scotland to meet the business needs of the national service
