CarmichaelUK are seeking a Site Engineer with strong delivery experience to join a Tier 1 contractor on a highways structures refurbishment project in London. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on engineer with a background in heavy civils, highways, and structural refurbishment to step into a key role on a technically challenging and high-impact scheme.Key Responsibilities:Support the day-to-day delivery of refurbishment works across bridges and other highways structuresSupervise works on steelwork, concrete repairs, surfacing, and structural enhancementsCoordinate and monitor temporary works and lifting operations in accordance with site requirements and regulationsAssist in the development of traffic management and access planningEnsure all works are carried out safely and in line with project specifications and quality standardsLiaise with construction teams, subcontractors, and the client to ensure seamless deliveryContribute to method statements, risk assessments, and ITPsAbout You:Experience in site delivery of highways or civils projects (structures refurbishment preferred)Knowledge of steel and concrete construction techniquesFamiliarity with temporary works and/or lifting operations (TW awareness or coordinator beneficial)Solid understanding of traffic planning and highways site logisticsStrong setting out and site coordination skillsCSCS card required | SMSTS/SSSTS preferredThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Site Engineer looking to join a high-performing team and contribute to the renewal of vital London infrastructure.
