MUSIC TEACHERLOCATION : SWINDON, SN1PAY : £31,650 - £49,084I am looking for a talented and adaptable Music Teacher to join a welcoming and well-structured secondary school in the Swindon area, starting full time from September. The school has a strong focus on creativity, community and academic development , with an inclusive ethos grounded in respect and high expectations for students.This role involves teaching GCSE level Music, with the additional expectation of covering lessons in other subjects when required. The ability to deliver lessons that excite and enthuse, support extra curricular music activities and contribute to the whole-school life is highly valued. Planning and preparation experience is needed for the role, and you will be joining a staff team that supports professional development and collaboration.Responsibilities :
  • Teach Music to KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver general cover lessons as required.
  • Plan , prepare and assess in line with the national curriculum and school standards.
  • Contribute to the school’s music and performing arts centre.
  • Encourage participation from students
  • Support students wellbeing inside and outside of the classroom
Requirements:
  • QTS and a degree in Music or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Music in secondary schools.
  • Flexible, organised and confident covering a range of subjects.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
  • Passion for music
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
