DescriptionPosition at WebMDResponsibilities:WebMD/Medscape is looking for a qualified Marketing Director to join the Medscape Global (OUS) and US Education Teams focused on markets worldwide. The Marketing Director will focus on leading the B2B education marketing team to strategize and execute marketing projects in a variety of mediums. Acting as a player/coach, the Marketing Director will work closely with sales colleagues, manage high level initiatives, and act as a mentor for a team of marketers. The Marketing Director will stay current on industry marketing trends to educate and grow the capabilities of the team.Key Responsibilities:Manage and mentor team of marketers based in the US and UKLead the development of Medscape Education strategic plan for both Global (OUS) and US focused initiativesStrategize with sales leadership on marketing needs to support local, regional and global markets across different therapy areasWork collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders on marketing or design requestsManage industry partnerships and Medscape Education presence at industry eventsIdentify ways to improve or enhance marketing team processesSupport strategic partnerships and government teams with marketing solutionsDevelop core messaging, value proposition and thought leadership to support and grow the Medscape Education brandSkills and Capabilities:Knowledge of global pharmaceutical or medical education markets, experience in medical affairs a plusProactive, with a strong sense of self-directionAbility to engage key internal stakeholders to achieve objectivesExcellent communicator - both written and verbalDetail-oriented and deadline-focusedStrong project management skillsResourceful with ability to quickly take projects from idea to executionStrategic and creative thinker, inquisitive and willing to evaluate/change current processes if identifiedComfortable with presenting to internal and external stakeholdersQualifications:4-year degree in marketing, business, or related10+ years marketing management experience with increasing levels of responsibilityExperience mentoring and/or managing marketersExperience working closely with sales colleagues to develop marketing strategyExperience managing team budgetsAbility to work cooperatively with staff, share ideas and develop effective responses.Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes.Healthcare education marketing experience preferred
