- Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures in line with legal requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance on data protection matters to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
- Conduct data protection impact assessments and risk evaluations.
- Deliver training sessions to staff on data privacy best practices.
- Respond to data subject access requests and manage breaches effectively.
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Maintain records of processing activities and update them as required.
- A strong understanding of GDPR and data protection regulations.
- Experience in creating and implementing data protection policies.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks within the not-for-profit sector and of special category data.
- Ideally experience within the NHS or a healthcare provider would be helpful.
- Management experience would be an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage operational privacy matters - DPIAs, DPAs, Subject Access Requests.
- Excellent communication skills for delivering training and guidance.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information securely.
- Competitive salary in the range up to £72,000 GBP, depending on experience.
