- oDiploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- oState Registration with the Health Professions Council.
- oBroad knowledge of best practice, guidelines and research in occupational therapy
- oKnowledge of occupational therapy models of practice.
- oKnowledge of the principles of clinical governance and risk management
- oExperience of supervising junior staff, support staff and /or students.
- oExperience working in the acute hospital and community setting as a band 5 OT
- oExperience of using audit.
- oExperience of different teaching or facilitation methods
- oExperience of discharge planning processes, intermediate care and community services
- oAbility to work collaboratively within the integrated therapy team and multi-disciplinary team.
- oApplication of standardised assessments, interventions and therapy outcome measures.
- oBasic splinting skills.
- o Access to own car with a valid driver's license in order to travel across the locality of Stockport for domiciliary community working (or suitable alternative transport arrangements).
- o Able to work as part of 7 day rotas
