This role will support the Endoscopy Team Lead, in the leadership, co-ordination, and development of the endoscopy services. Acting as a clinical resource, promoting excellence in clinical practice by supporting the clinical team in ensuring the highest standards of care is provided to patients. This will be achieved by using a philosophy of care underpinned by policy, procedures, protocols, clinical guidelines, audits, business strategies and priorities. We have 3 vacancies for this role, at our Thorpe Park Clinic, Northgate Medical Centre and our newly refurbished Fountain Medical Centre.Main duties of the jobMain Duties and Responsibilities:Support the Team Lead by co-ordinating the endoscopy unit, as part of the leadership team to ensure the smooth running of the patient lists, taking responsibility for staffing levels, audit completion, staff training/ competence, equipment maintenance and staff management.Champion the mandatory use of JETS Workforce as a competency platform.Support the Team Lead and Endoscopy Nurse Manager in establishing effective communicationTo manage the team including HR processes such as appraisals, 1:1s, team meetings, probation reviews, performance development, performance management and return to work interviews.Seek advice from other Endoscopy Team Leads and escalate operational challenges to the Endoscopy Nurse Manager where appropriate.Offer advice on nursing practice ensuring the endoscopy team are using current evidence-based practice.Provide safe, quality, evidence-based care within a busy diagnostic Endoscopy Unit.Assess, plan and implement care per local and national policies and guidelines including JAGParticipate and assist with endoscopic procedures and the decontamination of endoscopes.Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.Assume accountability of autonomous practice.To support a culture of continuous quality improvement, evaluating standards of care and leading in the implementation of changes and nursing development.Help support nursing research and maintain own knowledge, skills, expertise and experience.About usAbout us:LivingCare Group is a set of companies that operate across various health services and portfolios.
