You'll be part of an inspiring charity that makes a real difference every day.As an After School Play Worker, you’ll work directly with children, young people, and their families, offering tailored support in a safe and engaging environment. This is a great opportunity to build your skills in a rewarding role, with plenty of variety and personal satisfaction.What you’ll be doing:
  • Working closely with your team and team leader to create a welcoming, inclusive space that children love coming to.
  • Supporting children and young people—individually or in small groups—to take part in fun, age-appropriate activities that match their interests and abilities.
  • Encouraging independence and confidence by empowering young people to choose and engage in activities they enjoy.
  • Meeting the individual needs of each child—social, emotional, physical, or communication-based—with sensitivity and respect for their background and identity.
  • Using a variety of communication techniques to ensure every child and young person is heard and understood.
  • Providing personal and physical care in a respectful and professional way.
  • Keeping open communication with your team and reporting any changes or concerns about the children you support.
  • Helping to record session outcomes and contribute to care planning.
  • Following risk assessments and health and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Staying up to date with care plans and support needs.
