- Supporting the delivery of the organisation's growth strategy, embedding compliance and promoting a positive safety culture across all sites
- Working closely with production and distribution teams to develop a strong understanding of operations to enable effective risk assessment and safety planning
- Completing scheduled depot compliance audits, ensuring health & safety controls are effectively implemented, maintained and documented
- Reviewing and updating risk assessments and safe systems of work for all processes and operational activities
- Attending monthly operations meetings and providing input on health & safety performance and compliance
- Delivering toolbox talks, training sessions and safety communications to support risk reduction strategies and strengthen employee awareness
- Ensuring all contractors meet compliance requirements, including the review of documentation and issuing of permits to work
- Maintaining accurate records of accidents, near misses and spills, ensuring the database is kept up to date
- Supporting investigations into incidents and assisting in the identification of root causes, corrective actions and follow-up measures
- Working alongside Environmental and ROI Health & Safety colleagues to deliver on group-wide compliance objectives
- Assisting the Compliance & Sustainability Manager in the implementation of an enhanced health & safety management system
- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience in a similar Health & Safety role
- Experience in risk assessment development and implementation of safe working procedures
- Qualification in training delivery or demonstrable experience providing training
- IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
- Flexibility to travel between sites across Northern Ireland
- Experience managing contractors and overseeing permit-to-work systems
- Experience delivering training sessions
- Other relevant Health & Safety certifications
