With colleagues, customers, patients, and residents in mind you’ll have the opportunity to work on innovative projects and make a real impact on their lives.We are looking for an experience Solution/Domain Architect with the ambition to become an Enterprise Architect and must have experience of working within a Finance context and will have been involved with at least one significant corporate finance project in accounting, actuarial, planning, treasury & regulatory reportingRight from the start you’ll become part of our digital strategy, joining us on our journey and developing yourself along the way.How you’ll help us make health happen:The Domain Architect will partner with Domain Heads and other domain architects to optimise business, data and technology architecture and will grow into being accountable for transforming and evolving a Group Functions’ technology domain through strategic planning and enterprise architecture definition (business, data, application and infrastructure layers)Pioneer the adoption of cloud and API-based architectures based on reusable patterns and services. They will have previously architected API based solutions.Optimise the Domain architecture delivery model, defining ways of working that encourages test and learn, trade-off analysis, management of technology debt and an informed view of technology risk.Partner with Data, Security, Risk, Privacy and Legal teams to ensure ways of working are continually improved and outcomes achieved.Support the Head of Architecture, Lead Domain Architects and Engineering Leads to implement new models of architecture governance, based on the development of patterns and standards that ensure a focus on decisions that are foundational.Strategy and Enterprise ArchitectureInitially support, but within 12 months will be leading on the delivery of business domain strategies, definition of current and target domain architectures (business, data and technology) and strategic roadmapsInitially support, but within 12 months will be leading on defining a future view of innovative trends and technologies to disrupt and challenge current thinking within the domainSupports cross-domain perspectives and transformation across Corporate Functions, including the development of common domain services that cut across many business domains.Ensures compliance with broader Bupa architecture strategies, policies, standards and practices – ensuring both enterprise and domain objectives are realised.Provides the necessary senior management support to progress feasibility studies and support investment.Works with colleagues across Bupa to identify opportunities for reuse across all layers of solution delivery.Solution ArchitectureLeads on solution architecture to ensure consistent, high quality and accelerated outcomes.Supports domain engineers in the delivery of solution architecture based on pattern led designEnsures appropriate levels of governance are applied to domain architecture.Ensures standards (corporate, industry, national and international) are adhered .Supports the resolution of privacy, security, risk, or contractual issues.GovernanceEnsures the Group Functions architecture governance model balances technology debt, risk with the realisation of benefitsExtensive experience of working with security, privacy and legal in a regulated environmentEnsures information systems are compliant with policy, standards and regulatory requirementsEnsures technology debt is identified and managed across the Group Functions technology landscapeKey Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:Experience in delivering solution architecture within a Finance Environment is essential within Accounting, Actuarial, Planning, Treasury & Regulatory ReportingComfortable engaging with senior management to shape strategy/proposals and leading engineering on detailed solution designDemonstrable experience and knowledge of enterprise architecture, ideally with a technical Computing degree and industry recognised qualifications (TOGAF)Experience in leading application modernisation and a good understanding of cloud technologies and engineering patternsExtensive experience in the delivery of “well-architected” solutionsExperience of Security and Risk practices and the ability to deliver effective outcomes that balance functional and non-functional driversKnowledge of process improvement and delivery methodologies (Agile, Product Management)The ability to lead a team of technical specialistsBenefitsOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
