Extrusion Operative📍 Manchester🕒 12-hour Continental Shifts (Days & Nights)💼 Temp to Perm OpportunitiesAbout the Company:Our client is a successful, family-run business based in Manchester and one of the UK's leading packaging manufacturers, consultants, and suppliers. They are at the forefront of developing sustainable packaging solutions for a wide range of industries.Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for Extrusion Operatives to support the operation of production machinery within their manufacturing facility.Key Duties:
  • Operating extrusion and related production machinery
  • Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as needed
  • Carrying out quality checks and reporting issues
  • Using hand tools as part of the production process
  • Working effectively in a fast-moving, hot, and noisy environment
  • Following all health and safety procedures on site
  • Basic computer input for tracking and monitoring production
  • Supporting general production tasks as required
Candidate Requirements:✅ Previous experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment✅ Experience working 12-hour continental shifts (days and nights)✅ Good level of physical fitness and manual dexterity✅ Confident with basic maths and English (written and spoken)✅ Comfortable working with hand tools✅ Background in plastics manufacturing preferred✅ Strong awareness of health and safety✅ Computer literate✅ Forklift truck licence desirable but not essentialShift Patterns:🕖 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM🕖 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM📅 Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday📅 Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday💰 All breaks are fully paid - no deductions from your shift pay.Interested?To apply or for more information, contact our Industrial Recruitment Team today:📞 0161 238 9772
