Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Hull and East Riding
Daily Rate: £75.00 to £95.00 per day
Start Date: ASAPGSL Education are actively looking for candidates who have preliminary experience working with young people having additional needs. Our rates are highly competitive, and have day-to-day, long-term and permanent contracts available around your requirements.The ideal candidate will work closely with a team of professionals to provide tailored and specific, SEN tailored support for young people in either Academic or Communicative development. A large part of this role is relationship and stability building for the young person. For this position, successful candidates will be working on a 1:1 basis out in the community or the focused school sites. Roles will begin and continue throughout the academic year, with the option for suitable candidates to go on to a fixed term, or permanent contract.Aspiring candidates must have an enhanced, Child workforce DBS on the Update Service; or be willing to apply for one immediately.Successful candidates are required to have experience working with children who have worked closely with the following needs:
  • Physical Disabilities – that limit them in undertaking everyday tasks and often restrict mobility, risk to body shape.
  • Sensory Impairments.
  • Sensory Processing Difficulties.
  • ‘Coping Behaviours’ (to their communication or other difficulties).
  • Mental Health Difficulties.
