- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and execute a la carte, specials and function menus
- Lead and mentor the kitchen team, fostering a positive and professional work environment
- Ensure consistent high-quality food preparation and presentation across all dishes
- Manage inventory, food costs, and kitchen resources efficiently
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
- Assist in staff scheduling and training to meet operational needs
- Oversee kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence
- Contribute to menu planning, including daily specials and seasonal updates
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, arranging repairs when necessary
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready for advancement
- Professional experience or relevant qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a high-volume, high-quality kitchen environment
- Exceptional culinary techniques and knowledge of various cuisines
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Positive, collaborative attitude with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
- Current food safety certification
- Proficiency in kitchen management software
- Creativity and innovation in menu development and food presentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
