The team is responsible for all of IRC's brand, communications, creative and content and digital engagement efforts.Digital Engagement (part of Marketing & Mobilization) leads efforts to increase IRC’s access to priority online audiences, attracting new supporters, and sharing an integrated digital supporter experience. These elements are designed with the strategy of inspiring audiences to give more, do more, and stay longer with the IRC. Digital professionals include communications specialists, content creators, digital campaigners, and analysts. This department directs a team of social media and web strategists and works across all functions in the Marketing and Mobilization team. They deliver to the US, UK, Sweden, Germany, Brussels, South Korea, and other global markets.Job Overview/Job SummaryThe Digital Communications Officer, Global Partnerships role sits jointly on the Digital Engagement and Global Partnerships Communications teams, both under Marketing and Mobilization.Digital Engagement leads efforts to increase the IRC’s access to priority online audiences, attracting new supporters, and sharing an integrated digital supporter experience. The Global Partnerships Communications team works to support and highlight the IRC’s high value donors and partnerships within the private sector.Under the direction of the Associate Director of Global Digital Engagement and Associate Director of Partnership Communications—and working across teams with interdependent objectives and strategies—this role is responsible for executing a digital content strategy that supports the IRC’s high-value fundraising teams. Through digital storytelling, this position raises the IRC's visibility and positions it as a non-profit of choice for high-value partners, focusing in particular on the IRC as a leader in solutions-oriented programming in the sector.This is a highly collaborative position that works directly with the Partnership Communications, global high-value fundraising and Digital Engagement teams, and must collaborate well with stakeholders across the organization.Major Responsibilities- Execute the digital strategy for both the website and social media for high value partnerships including corporate and foundations. Through digital storytelling— primarily on the IRC's global channels and across key markets—raise the organization's visibility and position us as a non-profit of choice for high-value partners.- Work closely with the global market Digital Engagement team to ensure partnership content fits within broader strategies, follows best practices and meets quality standards. Act as an advocate for key audiences while delivering on stakeholder requirements.- Execute the writing and producing of partnerships content for the website, including overview materials, client and impact storytelling, web pieces around key moments, and other cross-cutting stories related to different partners or programmatic themes.- Project manage across digital projects from start to finish, including ensuring there is a clear review process for a range of stakeholders. Collaborate closely with, seek input from, and manage opportunities with a wide range of internal stakeholders, including the Experiential Marketing, Events, Entertainment Relations, Fundraising, Digital, Brand, Creative, and other teams.- Collaborate with the Digital Engagement team on an SEO strategy for partnerships on Rescue.org.- Test new approaches and channels for digital storytelling and engagement related to partnerships; identify key learnings and best practices around types of content, channels, and engagement tactics.- Manage regular reporting on digital performance. Leverage data and analytics to inform the partnership digital engagement strategy. Serve as the primary point of contact for the analytics team.- Manage the upkeep of partnerships pages, including the listing of partner logos, names, and recognition on the website.- In close partnership with the Content Producer for partnerships, proactively drive creative storytelling ideas and facilitate creative brainstorming based on the latest trends and engagement practices. Monitor and serve as an expert on external digital trends.- Support regional efforts to create new social media visibility for partnerships and offer technical support, brand guidance, etc.- Reactively navigate partner requests by sharing expertise and advice on the preferred digital approach with limited resources.- Manage the digital approach and engagement for partnerships during key campaign moments, including bespoke activations, social media toolkits, and social media comments/engagement on partner posts.Job Requirements- Genuine excitement about the IRC’s work and leading digital communications with philanthropic partners.- Bachelor degree or equivalent 4+ years in digital-focused communications in the private or NGO sectors.- Strong writing skills required. Creative social media experience preferred.- Strong facilitation and project management skills required.- Ability to make complex topics digestible for a non-expert audience.- Familiarity with content management systems. Ability to independently produce website content.- Ability to tailor internal communication and advocacy, and to navigate complex environments with competing priorities.- Strong understating of the digital landscape and comfort with pitching ideas, writing short and long-from pieces from start to finish, and tailoring digital strategy for audience and desired outcome.- Experience managing complex projects from start to finish.- Experience working with external stakeholders preferred, such as with customers, clients, media, or donors.- A planner and do-er, i.e., someone who has a consistent record of project management, taking initiative and driving implementation.- Driven self-starter comfortable working with remote, global teams and in ambiguityKey Working Relationships:**• Position Reports to:**Associate Director, Digital and matrix reporting line to Associate Director, Partnership Communcations**• Position directly supervises:**n/a

**• Internal:**Work with external relations colleagues, writers, content producers, digital team members, IRC advocates and fundraisersWorking Environment:- Hybrid working environment with the option of working from home a few days a week.- Must be willing to work on East Coast, United States hours from 8:30 AM – 12 PM EST Monday-Thursday.Compensation:Posted pay ranges apply to US and UK-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.US Benefits:The IRC offers a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits.
