Role ID: SF16699You will be responsible to the Site Engineering Manager for leading maintenance activities at Pendine.The role:The Maintenance Manager will be designing and implementing new ways of working, establishing and leading bespoke working parties, and utilising a number of toolsets, to proactively ensure that reactive and planned maintenance activities for all safety and business critical engineering assets on site are appropriately managed Ensuring that equipment is maintained in a safe and legal condition for the use in trials and site activities.Day-to-day, you will be:
- Responsible for the accumulation, coordination and assistance in the identification of all safety and business assets on site that require maintenance.
- Ensuring that equipment under maintenance complies with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to PUWER, LOLER, UK CA, CE, HSE Directives, building regulations and local processes (such as equipment identification and marking).
- Tracking the status of this equipment to ensure the owners have completed their maintenance in a timely manner with all relevant documentation attached to the equipment record & work order close out.
- Coordinating and Facilitating the implementation of 'In service Working Groups' assisting Equipment Owners and Engineering Leads with the authoring of technical instruction for these assets, interpreting manufacturer's instructions, utilising design data, good engineering judgement, canvasing and consolidating specialist subject matter knowledge of others, or appropriate recognised standards, to detail sound technical asset management and maintenance strategies.
- Using the above information and working with Engineering Leads to provide input into Through Life Support Statements (TLSS) for Business, Safety Critical and loaned third party equipment (i.e. Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
- Experience of working in a maintenance / manufacturing environment with technical understanding of industrial equipment and general engineering.
- Ability to form and lead small teams.
- HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, recognised service qualification or a proven record of accomplishment. (Engineering apprenticeship desirable).
