- Effectively control the commercial, managerial, and technical aspects of projects and areas of the business for which you are responsible.
- Sourcing opportunities and preparing fee proposals for submission to client, including resources and programme.
- Developing relationships with new clients and enhancing business relationships with existing clients.
- Leading a team of engineers and technicians designing building infrastructure schemes.
- Developing the skills of employees within the team, through mentoring and training; ensuring they have clear direction on how to progress their careers.
- Ensuring the AECOM principles on project delivery are conducted in line with company policy, ensuring quality on all aspect of project delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of design in Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steelwork.
- Excellent understanding on the application of the current Eurocodes relating to structural design.
- Experience in the assessment of existing structures and their justification, as well as new build designs.
- The ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks, relating to both Health & Safety, design and the construction of buildings.
- The ability to effectively communicate and promote your message across the team, senior management and represent AECOM professionally to clients and external bodies.
- Ability to accurately check and verify work, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and managed to programme and budget constraints.
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Chartered Engineer (CEng)
- Member of either the Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE) and/or the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).
- A solid track record of working on and successfully delivered large, diverse, complex projects, where you acted as project leader for the structures discipline.
- Knowledge and experience of the local Glasgow and Scottish construction industry marketplace.
