Rate: Competitive (TBD)OverviewWe are seeking two experienced Front-End Automation QA Engineers to join a major UK retailer's Supply Chain technology team. This role is focused on automating the testing of a critical web application that underpins supply chain operations.You will play a key role in building and maintaining front-end test automation frameworks, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the application.This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise and a proactive mindset to help establish structured, automated testing processes from the ground up. Previous experience with retail or supply chain systems will be highly advantageous.Hybrid model: 3 days per week in the Welwyn Garden City office.Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for a complex Supply Chain web application using modern automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
- Create and execute comprehensive end-to-end test plans to validate functionality, usability, and reliability.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Drive QA best practices, ensuring consistent quality and high coverage across the application.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define test criteria and acceptance standards.
- Build a structured QA automation process and contribute to overall testing strategy.
- Produce and maintain QA automation reporting for visibility across the team and stakeholders.
- Strong experience with front-end automation using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end technologies.
- Proven track record of writing, executing, and maintaining automated end-to-end tests.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD environments.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
- Strong attention to detail with a quality-first approach.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a small but high-impact team environment.
- Experience producing automation progress and coverage reports.
- Experience in performance and accessibility testing.
- Background in large-scale enterprise or scale-up environments.
- Prior experience with Retail or Supply Chain systems.
