Job descriptionSEN Teaching/Learning Support Assistant Required in Brixton (South London) – Immediate StartProspero Teaching are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching/Learning Support Assistant to join an Ofsted OUTSTANDING Special School (age 9 – 19) in the Brixton area, who specialise in supporting students with needs including Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties.The position will involve providing classroom support to students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, this will be a part-time, long-term position starting immediately.Daily Rate: GBP100
Location: Brixton Hill (SW2)
Contract Type: 2 – 3 days a week (Part-Time)
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Long TermThe successful applicants will have:
· Previous experience working with Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties.
· Previous experience managing challenging behavior.
· Ideally experience working with children and/or young people.
· Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check.The role will consist of:
· Offering support to the class teacher.
· Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
· Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
· Building good student – teacher rapport.OTHER
