VINCI FacilitiesElectrical EngineerSub Division: DefenceLocation: BicesterContract Type: PermanentHours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to FridayCreating and maintaining great places to live and work delivered by excellent people who care…Purpose of RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a Defence site in Bicester.Job DescriptionThis is a vital role where you’ll be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring the site’s electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.Responsibilities
  • Carry out scheduled PPM tasks on a variety of electrical systems and equipment
  • Respond promptly and effectively to reactive maintenance requests
  • Diagnose and repair faults to ensure minimal downtime
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations and Vinci Facilities standards
  • Accurately complete maintenance documentation and update system records
  • Participate in the on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks), providing emergency support as required
  • Work closely with the site team and external contractors when necessary
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation/Maintenance
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance (due to Defence site requirements)
