Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: PLYMOUTHSalary: £88.94 per day

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked in Mental Health/ Care roles to move into an Education based role.The school is based in Whitleigh, Plymouth PL5 catering for children aged 11-16 with SEMH and MLD. Responsibilities:
  • Guide students in the role of a Teaching Assistant
  • Apply strategies customised to address the specific needs of individual students.
  • Work in cooperation with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop support plans.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that promotes improved social interactions and communication skills.
  • Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement interventions to address behaviour.
Requirements:
  • Having previous experience as a Mental Health Support Worker is a plus
  • Effective communication abilities to ensure clear interactions
