This is a newly created Group Accountant / Croup Financial Controller opportunity within a fast-growing, multi-entity group, which has recently received significant investment. The role offers a rare blend of technical accounting, commercial finance, and M&A integration in a dynamic, hands-on environment.Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the Group Financial Controller / Group Accountant will:
  • Lead the monthly consolidation of group accounts across multiple trading entities
  • Own technical accounting, audit preparation, and compliance processes
  • Support M&A integration, including acquisition accounting and systems harmonisation
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with operational teams
  • Help implement and optimise the ERP system for group-wide reporting
  • Identify and deliver process improvements across reporting and controls
  • Play a key role in shaping the future finance structure as the group scales
Shape a newly created role in an investment-backed growth businessHigh-impact position with direct access to the Group FDThe successful Financial Controller / Group Accountant should have:
  • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting and group consolidation experience
  • A background in multi-entity, multi-site environments
  • Excellent Excel and financial systems skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and strong commercial awareness
It would also be beneficial if you have:
  • Experience in a Private Equity-backed business
  • Exposure to M&A and post-acquisition integration and alignment of processes and systems.

  • Base Salary: of £70,000 - £85,000 + benefits, depending on experience
  • Hybrid working: c3 days/week in the office.
