As part of their ongoing UK expansion, they are seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of technical solutions for major clients. This is a hands-on role with strong collaboration between technical and commercial teams, offering a clear route for development and long-term progression.Based partly from the Stockport office and frequently visiting customer sites across the UK, you’ll play a vital part in overseeing the full lifecycle of each project—from internal handover and technical planning to final installation and commissioning. The ideal candidate will bring engineering know-how, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to manage stakeholders and ensure project success. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate relevant industry experience and a strong technical engineering skill-set; for high-potential individuals with strong academic credentials, relevant, ideally UK-based engineering experience is also required. Job DescriptionAct as the key point of contact for live projects following sales confirmationCoordinate technical requirements, documentation and supplier inputsLiaise with internal teams to plan resource and scheduling for site worksAttend meetings with clients to agree project scope and review progressEnsure installations run smoothly, resolving issues and adapting plans as neededSupport site-based activities including documentation, compliance and safetyTrack costs and manage project budgets in collaboration with the finance teamAssist with testing and final handover to ensure client satisfaction Person SpecificationEssential:HNC or above in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or related Engineering disciplineSolid foundation in engineering principles, with at least 3 years’ relevant experienceComfortable working both on-site and in a customer-facing environmentStrong communication, organisation and analytical problem-solving skillsUK driving licence and willingness to travel nationallyLocated within approximately 1 hour of StockportDesirable:Background in mechanical or industrial engineering projectsExperience managing subcontractors and coordinating site worksCommercial awareness with an understanding of cost tracking and project marginsExposure to safety documentation (RAMS), commissioning or after-sales support Why Apply?This role is ideal for an ambitious engineer seeking variety, responsibility and the chance to grow within a technically complex and commercially significant environment.
