Kitchen Porter (0hr Contract)The Malone has just rebranded and has undergone an extensive refurbishment of the bar, restaurant and wider hotel.We have an opportunity for Kitchen Porters (0hr contract) to join our growing team.It's an extremely exciting time to get on board. We are a locally owned, boutique 4* hotel where your personality and originality will have a chance to shine!Creating exceptional experiences is our goal and we aim to empower our staff to fulfil this for every guest.About the roleKey Responsibilities:Wash and sanitise dishes, cutlery, pots, and kitchen equipment.Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas clean and organised.Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling procedures are followed.Assist with deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.Unload and store deliveries properly, ensuring correct stock rotation.Ensure kitchen stations are stocked with clean utensils and equipment.Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages to the chef or supervisor.Support chefs with basic food preparation, such as peeling and chopping ingredients.Assist in plating and food presentation when needed.Maintain open communication with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.Essential Criteria:Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment (preferred but not essential).Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and handle pressure.Good understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.Physically fit and able to lift heavy items when required.Positive attitude and willingness to learn.Company Benefits:As an award-winning, family-owned hotel, we offer our staff the chance to become “part of the family!” Your employee benefits will include the following:Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Internal growth and professional development opportunities.28 days holiday for full-time staff.Departmental incentives including employee discounts on hotel stays and dining.Free parking.Discounted friends and family rates.This job description is not exhaustive, therefore, the job holder may be required, from time to time, to conduct tasks as and when requested by Hotel Management.In addition, we also reserve the right to enhance the criteria at the shortlisting stage.Please ensure your CV is up to date, as this is required for the interview process.Sponsorship for this role is not offered.
