37 hours per weekFixed Term up to 2 yearsThis is a new opportunity for you to join our corporate procurement unit and follow an apprenticeship, which will give you the skills and experience to pursue a career in Procurement.Gaining on the job training and practical support to achieve a level 3 in Supply Chain Management, you will also have the opportunity to work alongside experienced category specialists.You will support the team in providing a category management approach to procurement, support with the implementation and development of Procurement initiatives and maintain the corporate contracts register.With a good standard of education (minimum of 5 GCSE's including maths and English and 2 A Levels or equivalent), you will have procurement generalist experience, good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with managers and employees across the organisation. Good attention to detail and the ability to work logically and a commitment to continuous learning and development will be key to your success.Applications will not be considered for those who have already achieved a qualification at Level 3 or above, including degree level, in Supply Chain Management.You will demonstrate a flexible approach to the role and should have an understanding of procurement within a Local Government setting.The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.The council's Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post.
