This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who need additional support to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.The Role – SEMH Teaching Assistant ReigateAs an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Support emotional regulation, behaviour management strategies, and pupil wellbeing
- Work alongside class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver tailored support
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or SEND needs
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient personality
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Confidence in de-escalating challenging situations and adapting to classroom needs
- PAYE pay of £90–£95 per day – no umbrella deductions
- Immediate and September start dates available
- Free training and CPD, including Thrive Approach training
- Ongoing support from a dedicated local consultant
- Flexible and long-term SEMH Teaching Assistant roles across Reigate schools
