Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people? A specialist school in Birmingham is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 3 student with Autism on a 1:1 basis. This role requires patience, empathy, and a clear understanding of how to support children with communication challenges.The student responds well to structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement. As their SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for helping them access learning, develop social skills, and regulate emotions throughout the school day. Previous experience supporting children with Autism is essential, and the ability to use communication aids or visual strategies would be beneficial. - Providing 1:1 support to a Key Stage 3 student with Autism
- Implementing personalised strategies to support communication and engagement
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt support
