GSL Education needs an ambitious Teaching Assistant with phonics experience to join a dynamic school in Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact while contributing to the development of young learners.Responsibilities of the TA:
- Support students with various needs, specifically in delivering phonics interventions.
- Implement group phonics sessions using the Ruth Miskin Read Write Inc phonics program.
- Work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to enhance students' reading and literacy skills.
- Lead small group interventions to reinforce phonics learning and phonemic awareness.
- Encourage and motivate students to engage with phonics and develop a love for reading.
- SEN experience, particularly with children who have additional learning needs.
- Phonics experience and a strong understanding of how to support early reading development.
- Familiarity with the Ruth Miskin Read Write Inc phonics program.
- Ability to deliver group interventions and adapt strategies to meet students’ individual needs.
- A resilient and proactive personality, with a passion for helping children succeed.
- A current CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
