- Safely operate the minibus, following all traffic regulations and maintaining high standards of passenger safety.
- Transport passengers to designated locations, adhering to predetermined routes and schedules.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant data.
- Ensure the mini bus is clean and well-maintained, both internally and externally.
- Attend required training sessions to enhance driving skills and knowledge
- Full and valid UK D1 or D driving licence without “101” or “79 NFHR” code in column 12 of the license.
- Valid Driver’s Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC card).
- Proven experience as a minibus driver or in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations and no more than 6 active penalty points.
- Strong knowledge of local traffic regulations and routes.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact with passengers from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and a friendly demeanour.
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job, including assisting passengers with disabilities and handling luggage.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- High level of responsibility and commitment to passenger safety.
- Availability to work any shift within campus operating times: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 9:30 pm; Saturday to Sunday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
