The VacancyFULL TIME - 42hrsFour nights on and four nights off on a rotaHampshire Social Inclusion Grosvenor Road provides accommodation and 24/7 support for up to 20 clients with complex and high-level support needs.Our aim is to provide person-centred support to our clients, empowering them to gain the life skills they require to move on to more independent living. We also work with a range of agencies to maximise the support and opportunities for clients.Although this can be a challenging role, it's also very rewarding. This is an exciting role, where no two days will be the same, you will take part in various tasks, such as running client activities and life skills projects. If you love working with people and want to make a difference in the lives of those you support, then please apply.JOB PURPOSETo be part of the night team to keep our clients and services, safe.To provide people with homes and specialist support so they feel more valued and secure, and ready to take the next stepsMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To provide informal support to clients and be a listening ear
  • To complete wellbeing checks for all residents at agreed times and to meet their needs
  • To monitor the service and surrounding areas that are covered by CCTV
  • To deal with any incidents that may arise and contact external services when necessary
  • To maintain clean and tidy communal areas, carry out cleaning tasks when required
  • To provide detailed handovers to day staff, regarding client safety and support information
  • To triage out of hours issues which may arise and contact the on-call manager where applicable
  • To support your colleagues managing the night service, where required
  • To support clients in trauma informed and psychologically informed ways
  • To adhere to safeguarding responsibilities, following our safeguarding policy and procedure
  • To help maintain health and safety, ensuring clients, visitors and buildings are safe in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, policy and procedures
  • To provide basic first aid assistance until help arrives (full training is provided)
  • To work confidently and efficiently when lone working
  • To maintain accurate records on our client management system and ensure these are stored in line with GDPR
  • To maintain confidentiality
  • To represent the organisation in a professional manner
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties required in the interest of the organisation
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • This role will require an Enhanced with Barred List(s) disclosure and barring service check is a requirement for this role. This would be completed on appointment of the role.
  • This role will require a full drivers' licence and access to a vehicle
  • This role will require you to work flexibly across several sites
  • This role will require you to work with clients on a one-to-one basis
  • This role will require you to work nights and/or weekends
  • This role will require you to lone work
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
  • Experience in similar sectors
  • Experience in customer service roles
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
  • Good communication skills
  • Clear verbal and written English
  • Good keyboard skills for data inputting
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Polite and assertive manner
  • Ability to self-motivate as you will work on your own
  • Collaborate well in a team
  • Ability to respond calmly in a crisis
  • Have an interest and genuine concern for homelessness and related issues
