Our client are market leaders within the field of Ground Service Equipment repair and maintenance.Vehicle Technician/ Vehicle Mechanic The Role:
This is a varied Workshop and Airside based position where you will play a crucial part in the success of the company by offering your expert mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair on-site aircraft service equipment, such as towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators and a variety of specialist, unique vehicles. The suitable candidate will be mechanically skilled and a good problem solver in order to effectively repair and maintain on-site equipment.Vehicle Technician/ Vehicle Mechanic The Person:
  • Experience working on light vehicle, HGV or plant vehicles
  • City and Guilds certification in Motor Mechanics or equivalent (essential)
Vehicle Technician/ Vehicle Mechanic You will need to:
  • Be able to demonstrate your Right To Work in the UK
  • Be able to obtain an airside pass which will require you to undergo a criminal record check and 5-year history verification
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence
  • Provide certifications for all qualifications
Vehicle Technician/ Vehicle Mechanic Working Hours:
  • Week 1 Monday - Friday (0600-1600)
  • Week 2 Tuesday -Friday (0600-1600)
  • Overtime available weekly but not guaranteed.
1 in 6 on call rota must be worked too. This is paid £10/night and a min of 4 hours paid at x1.5 per call out.Vehicle Technician/ Vehicle Mechanic What is on Offer:
  • Starting salary of £40,000 - £42,000 and increasing after probation
  • 40hrs/week
