We’re AluK, a global leader in the design and engineering of aluminium window, door and curtain walling systems and, with over 60 years of experience operating across the globe, you’ll find our façade systems on many of the world's most advanced and prestigious buildings.We have an opportunity to join our Warehouse team as a Warehouse Operative.As Warehouse Operative you’ll enjoy being a critical part of the team and work flexibly across a variety of activities with the primary focus of contributing towards the smooth running of the warehouse.What does it involve?As Warehouse Operative you’ll ‘roll your sleeves up and get stuck in’ wherever you’re needed carrying out a variety of different tasks including:Pick, check & pack orders ready for dispatch/productionAccurately and safely load and unload AluK wagons/deliveries ensuing deliveries are physically checked and booked inAccurately completing paperwork/records e.g. ensure that the Batch numbers of all outgoing and incoming goods are maintained for traceability, completing drop sheets, labelling of stock from the suppliers.Assisting with the cycling counting/stocktake when required;Practice good housekeeping to maintain the quality of materials and a safe working environment;What will you need to know…As Warehouse Operative you’ll be working in a busy and varied role and we’ll make sure you’ll receive all the necessary training to be successful in your role. Experience of working as a Warehouse Operative is a bonus but, as a minimum we’re looking for you to demonstrate your:Ability to follow standard operation instructions.High level of accuracy and attention to detail. – you’ll need to match drawings to extrude profiles.Basic level of IT literacy i.e. able to use email, use web based system for time and attendance.Ability to build, maintain effective working partnerships with colleagues – we’re a team and better when we work together!Self‐motivated proactive approach to work that is able to demonstrate initiativeThis role does involves physical movement including lifting, bending, twisting and carrying with loads of up to 20kg as a core part of the role.Role details45.5 hours per week between 06.00 and 16.00 (earlier finish Friday).Salary – £27,209 -£28,392Benefits
