The opportunity has arisen for an exciting and challenging post as the Lead Clinical Research Nurse for Cancer in NHS Highland in the North of Scotland (based at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness). The successful candidate will lead an already established Cancer Research team of 5 research nurses and 4 research data managers. The Cancer RDI team are in a key Section of the overall Research Development and Innovation Division (RDI), and have an existing substantial portfolio of clinical trials, and a new strategic vision to expand cancer based work into development and innovation activities. The successful candidate will be one of the Section Leads in RDI and will be expected not only to expand the work of the cancer Section, but to contribute to the decision-making process across Sections in RDI. A nurse prescriber would be desirable but is not essential. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
