
Graduate Placement - Electrical Engineering (24 month)

- To develop technical understanding by working within a range of departments throughout placement
- To provide support to the placement department under the guidance of experienced Engineers
- Support departments with the delivery of designated departmental projects, which will vary depending on the current business and department needs
- Liaise with personnel at parent company, to control and co-ordinate new valve builds from USA
- Be involved in design and development of electrical equipment to meet the departmental needs, liaising with the Manufacturing Services staff when required to arrange fabrication
- Produce and maintain relevant internal documentation to company standards, ensuring they are clear, concise and understandable for all users
- Develop a network of contacts within the company which will enhance your understanding and effectiveness throughout the placement
- Develop hydraulic understanding and expertise in order to answer technical questions on hydraulic products
- Learn PLC, graphical based programming structures like LabVIEW and electrical equipment basic fault finding.
- Participate in technical discussions at customer sites and premises as required
- Undertake training opportunities as they arise to enhance learning and contribute to professional development
- Undertaking engineering degree - Electrical engineering
- Computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Awareness of lean manufacturing techniques would be useful
- Understanding of manufacturing and production processes advantageous
- Electrical experience with either wiring, programming such as LabVIEW, PLC or AutoCAD electrical would be advantageous
