SummaryThe Corporate & Leveraged Finance group within Crédit Agricole CIB advises, originates, structures and executes bank and institutional leveraged loans and high yield bond financings for private equity backed and corporate clients (including TMT), with leading market positions in Europe and a strong presence globally. The Intern's role involves a significant level of work on new / live large-cap finance transactions across sectors for a wide variety of clients of the bank. The role will also include assisting senior staff on the management of the portfolio.Key Responsibilities· Conduct analysis of markets (business / sector / transactional / pricing comparable) and credit analysis of potential leveraged finance issuers.· Assist the team in the preparation of marketing materials and pitches to both private equity and corporate clients.· Financial modelling of transactions.· Review confidentiality agreements alongside Legal.· Draft summaries of new business opportunities for conflict check purposes.· Review of Information Memoranda/ business plans/ due diligence/ term sheets.· KYC - process new client on-boarding.· Crédit Agricole monitoring tools - data entry, updating and ongoing review.· Monitoring of portfolio company trading & developments/ account analysis/ waiver request processing etc.· Drafting early stage credit applications and assisting senior staff on sections of full credit applications.· Drafting annual review papers.· Assistance to senior management in all other areas of the business as required.Precise split of time will be determined on an ongoing basis dependent on business requirements at the time.Position locationGeographical areaEurope, United KingdomCityLondonCandidate criteriaMinimal education levelBachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalentAcademic qualification / SpecialityGraduatedExperienceAwareness of general business, financial and economic environmentRequired skillsProactive and good team playerComfortable with deadlines and working under pressureAppetite to learn and for hard workAttention to detailFlexibilityInterest in financial marketsTechnical skills requiredExcellent analytical research and modelling skills (Excel)
