South Parade Primary School are recruiting for a highly motivated, flexible and organised SEN Teaching Assistant. This role is linked to a child so the contract will be for the duration of funding/until the child leaves South Parade. The role is full time, Monday to Friday, 9am-3.30pm, Term Time Only. Salary: Grade 4 - FTE £25,583 -£25,989, Actual Salary £15,899 - £16,151. The post is to start as soon as possible.Main duties will include: assisting the teacher or line manager by contributing as directed to a pupils&© individual behaviour/education plan, assisting with the personal needs of pupils including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters, assisting pupils in using resources, e.g. ICT and provide general support with learning activities (e.g. literacy, numeracy, early years) to enable pupils to understand instructions and to ensure they remain on task.The successful candidate will:
  • Have experience of working in a childcare setting
  • support high quality teaching and learning to support the needs of the child
  • Be flexible and be able to work well as part of a team.
  • Be willing to take on training as required.
