We are looking for a strong Head Pastry or Cafe Head Chef to lead a recent new opening – a restaurant, neighbourhood café, and events space – located in the heart of South Kensington. Housed in a beautifully restored Grade II-listed townhouse, this venue combines elegant design with laid-back service, offering a relaxed yet refined setting across a vibrant dining room, Private Dining Room, and dedicated Function Room.
  • Casual dining setting and menu with fresh salads, soups, sandwiches and pastries
  • Up to 50 covers per service – Open daytime from Tuesday to Saturday
  • Creative food focusing on flavours rather than presentation, working under the guidance of a Michelin starred Executive Chef

  • Salary of £42,000 per annum + service charge (around £47,000+)
What you’ll be doing:
  • Create the menu for the Café within the restaurant, for the lunch and baked items, and develop and cost the goods and help the development and growth of the newly opened café.
  • Bake and cook fresh items daily - cakes, pastries, breads, tarts and prepare light seasonal dishes, like salads, soups, and sandwiches.
The ideal for a Head Pastry or Café Head Chef must be very hands- on with strong leadership skills and a deep love of produce-led, seasonal food. You’ll support the Executive Chef in day-to-day operations, run the Cafe kitche in their absence, and take ownership over kitchen standards, menu ideas, service, and team development.Apply now to find out more.
