Cover Supervisor (Secondary Phase)

Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Pay: £21000–£24000 per annum (PAYE), depending on experience and qualificationsAbout the RoleWe are seeking a committed and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our Secondary Phase team. This is an exciting opportunity to support students’ learning by supervising classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned lessons, and ensuring a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.The successful candidate will also provide support to teachers, administrative staff, and pastoral teams, contributing fully to the wider life of the academy.Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage Secondary Phase classes during short-term teacher absence.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson content and respond to student questions.
  • Promote student learning and engagement across different year groups and subjects.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and follow academy protocols consistently.
  • Accurately register students and report on progress and behaviour.
  • Provide administrative and pastoral support when not covering lessons.
  • Contribute to enrichment activities and whole-school initiatives.
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times and model school values.
