Job Category: Thurrock Adult Community CollegeJob Description:Salary: starting £27,129 per annum pro rata (actual £25,389.70) plus £579 pro rata London weighting (actual £347.40); negotiable based on experience and qualificationsGrade: TUTLEC 1 - 6 depending on qualifications and experiencePermanent: Term Time only; 40 weeks per year (48.8 paid weeks including leave & bank holiday entitlement)Hours per Week: 22.2 (Teaching allocation is 492 hours per academic year)Thurrock Adult Community College is the local authority's provider of adult education for Thurrock. Our main base is in the Old Court House in Grays, but we deliver courses across the borough.You will be responsible for planning courses and lessons, creating resources, teaching lessons, and marking learners work and giving developmental feedback.Experience of teaching adults is required.Experience of delivering Functional Skills English is required.You will have a good command of English with at least a GCSE grade 4/Clevel 2 qualifications in maths an IT, a level 3 Award in Education and Training and an English teaching specialism - at L4 or L5.
