We are looking for a dedicated HLTA to join a fantastic SEN primary school in West Drayton, supporting students with additional learning needs and helping to deliver high-quality education.The RoleAs a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the planning and delivery of lessons across the curriculum, working closely with the class teacher.
- Provide targeted one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Cover lessons in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity in learning and engagement.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independence and confidence in students.
- Support students with communication, sensory, and behavioral challenges using tailored strategies.
- Have experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN setting.
- Hold an HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Be confident in leading small group activities and covering lessons when needed.
- Have excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
- Be passionate about supporting students with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
