An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic and motivated individuals to join the team of Radiographers in Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest. The department offers a supportive and encouraging environment in which to develop as a professional.We welcome applications from third year student radiographer who qualify this year.Main duties of the jobThis is new and exciting post; the Radiographer recruited will be working within the CT department. Applicants will have the opportunity to train in a specialist area. They will be expected undertake cannulation training and work with a committed team of radiographers and support staff. You will be given a training/competency preceptorship plan and will be fully supported to become trained in the modality. Withybush Hospital has modern scanners and newly refurbished working areas.The appointment will be 37.5 hours per week including long days, evening, nights, weekends and bank holidays shifts.About usHywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.Our services are provided in:

  • Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
  • 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers

  • Active HCPC registration

  • Skilled in projectional radiography techniques and modification of exposure factors.
  • Experience of using radiology IT and PACS systems to record and review patient specific information
