VINCI FacilitiesFabric EngineerSub Division: DefenceLocation: WitneyContract Type: PermanentHours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to FridayCreating and maintaining great places to live and work delivered by excellent people who care…Purpose of RoleWe are currently recruiting for a skilled Fabric Engineer to join our on-site maintenance team at RAF Brize Norton, one of the key operational air bases in the UK.Job DescriptionThis role focuses on the installation, repair, and maintenance of UPVC windows and doors, as well as other general fabric-related tasks. As part of our extensive facilities management contract covering multiple military sites in the South East, the Fabric Engineer will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring the continued safety and integrity of accommodation and operational buildings.Responsibilities
  • Fitting and maintaining UPVC windows and doors to high standards.
  • Repair/replacement of door furniture, locks, and fire doors
  • Basic carpentry, tiling, plastering, and decorating tasks
  • Minor plumbing (e.g. tap/toilet repairs, radiator bleeding)
  • Installing signage, shelving, and other fixtures
  • Supporting both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  • Proven experience in UPVC window and door fitting.
  • Strong background in general building fabric maintenance.
  • Relevant trade qualifications (e.g. Carpentry, Joinery, or equivalent).
  • PASMA/IPAF certification (preferred).
  • Understanding of Health & Safety in a live working environment.
  • Ability to gain and maintain BPSS Clearance (must have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years).
