This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and ready to make a positive impact in the classroom.About the Role as a Teaching Assistant:
- Providing in-class support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD and learning difficulties.
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis to help them access the curriculum and achieve academic progress.
- Working alongside teaching staff to ensure the individual needs of students are met.
- Helping create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
- Taking part in planning and reflection meetings with school staff where needed.
- A recent graduate (any subject) with a strong academic background.
- Experience working with children or young people, either in a school, tutoring, coaching or voluntary setting.
- A calm, compassionate and proactive approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A genuine desire to support learners with additional needs.
- An Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or the willingness to apply for one.
